The 3.6 patch for Persona 5: The Phantom X launches on April 16, 2026, and Atlus confirmed this is when we’ll see the Persona 5 character Goro “Crow” Akechi join the cast. He’ll be one of the five-star feature characters to star on a banner after that update goes live. It also means the Crossroads of Fate: Laboratory Arc storyline will continue. That’s the one that shows Persona 5 Royal characters interacting with Wonder for a new quest. That will mark the second part of that storyline.

Since Crow already appeared in the Chinese version of the game, we know what to expect. Like other Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal characters, he’s a five-star unit. Robin Hood is his Persona for this unit. He’s a Sweeper style unit, which means his attacks are designed to be area-of-effect ones that hit multiple enemies. Fellow characters from his original game like Joker, Ann “Panther” Takamaki, Haru “Noir” Okumura, Yusuke “Fox” Kitagawa, and Justine & Caroline are also Sweeper types. He deals Almighty damage.

There’s also a brief teaser trailer that shows Crow’s official art. You can watch that below:

We saw other Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal characters appear in The Phantom X ahead of Goro in 2025. The 3.4 update added Kasumi “Violet” Yoshizawa. That’s also when Crossroads of Fate: Laboratory Arc storyline started. We first saw Crow teased at the end of that initial part.

Persona 5: The Phantom X is available for PCs and mobile devices, and Goro “Crow” Akechi will join as a playable character after the 3.6 update arrives on April 16, 2026. Persona 5 Royal is available worldwide on the PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
