The Final Fantasy XIV Letter from the Producer LIVE Part LXXXVIII aired on July 24, 2025, and FFXIV Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida and Global Community Producer Toshio “Foxclon” Murouchi went over the release date for patch 7.3 and things we’ll see in it. The update debuts on August 5, 2025, which falls in line with the promised launch from LXXXVII.
We already knew about some additions, thanks to the previous stream and special site. This showcase served as a means of getting a better look at things and firsthand looks at some additions. There will be new main scenario quests (MSQ). If you finish them, you’ll gain access to a new trial and the Meso Terminal Expert dungeon. The treasure dungeon Vault Oneiron will appear too, and Cutter’s Cry will be updated to add Duty Support. The former is the one that ended up showed off on-stream. Another unnamed Deep Dungeon will show up, but that won’t appear until 7.35 with the Inconceivably Further Hildibrand Adventures quests and Yok Huy Allied Society Quests. Echoes of Vana’diel: San d’Oria the Second Walk will continue the FFXI crossover. That involves a new Alliance Raid, and the stream involved a closer look at that encounter. There will be new glamour looks added too.
There’s also a trailer for FFXIV patch 7.3 already live, and you can see some of the MSQ, fights, and additions ahead of its launch.

Some of the changes already ended up discussed in the previous stream, such as the new hat and headgear options for Hrothgar and Viera. We also know European automatic housing demolition will restart with the next patch.
Final Fantasy XIV and the FFXIV Dawntrail expansion are available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the 7.3 patch arrives on August 5, 2025. The official site for the update is also live.
