This manga series originated with a different title: Oshiete MeruBura Dojo ~Miyako to Hajimete no Kakuge~ (Teach Us, Melty Blood Dojo ~The First Fighting Game With Miyako~). The author Metancone originally made four chapters of the Melty Blood Type Lumina spin-off manga throughout December 2022. The manga’s popularity led to Type-Moon greenlighting an extension with the new title Piece in Paradise in April 2023.

Some of the manga’s chapters are also available to read for free in Japanese on Type-Moon Comic Ace. The latest chapter to date—the second part of Chapter 11—appeared in December 2023. However, following the tankobon’s release, Kadokawa and Type-Moon removed free access to chapters 6-8, so people will have to purchase the new volume to read those chapters.

The first tankobon volume of Melty Blood Type Lumina: Piece in Paradise is now available for purchase physically and digitally. The manga is based on the Melty Blood Type Lumina fighting game, which is available immediately on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC. The game also includes characters from Type-Moon’s popular Fate series, such as Fate/Stay Night‘s Saber, Mash Kyrielight, Dantes, and Ushiwakamaru.
