S.C.A.T.: Special Cybernetic Attack Team To Assault Virtual Console

No, don’t even think about making that joke.

In all seriousness, though, Special Cybernetic Attack Team was a side-scrolling sci-fi shooter for the NES, developed by Natsume in 1990. An army of aliens invade the ruins of New York, and it’s up to the S.C.A.T. team to hold them off.

The neat catch is that you can play S.C.A.T. in co-op with two players, using the two lead characters, Arnold and Sigourney (yes, they’re based on actors Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sigourney Weaver).

S.C.A.T.: Special Cybernetic Attack Team showed up on the Australian ratings board, which means a Virtual Console release is imminent.
