Back in March 2025, NIS America announced it would publish Nihon Falcom’s Kai no Kiseki and release it worldwide as The Legend of Heroes: Trails Beyond the Horizon, and now there’s a more definite release date. While it initially had a release estimate of Fall 2025, that’s been pushed back. Now, it will instead debut on January 15, 2026. This update also confirmed a Switch 2 release alongside the other platforms.
To go along with the reveal, there’s a trailer explaining what we can expect from this latest adventure that will again bring together major characters from multiple installments in The Legend of Heroes series. In particular, it continues the saga covered in Trails Through Daybreak and its sequel and focuses on the implications of the Project Startaker communications satellite launch and gathering of Van Arkride, Rean Schwarzer, and Kevin Graham and their allies.
Here’s the latest trailer that confirmed the Trails Beyond the Horizon story and its January 15, 2026 release date.
