The first demo for Danganronpa 2×2 will be playable at the Danganronpa 15th Anniversary event, which will take place on November 29, 2025. Registration to enter the venue closed on October 13, 2025.
Danganronpa 2×2 is the upcoming remake of Super Danganronpa 2, which originally came out in 2012 for the PSP. While the remake will feature the original cast and characters, it’ll also include a new storyline with new victims and culprits. There’s a high chance that the demo will feature an original case that isn’t the actual first chapter. When Spike Chunsoft released the demo for Danganronpa V3, it brought back characters from the previous games in an original murder case to introduce the new mechanics and upgraded graphics. It likely won’t use the first chapter from the vanilla version of Super Danganronpa 2, too, as players may be entering the series from the remake.
Spike Chunsoft will also broadcast the anniversary event on its YouTube channel. It’ll start from 11:00 AM JST (1:00 PM PST/3:00 PM EST). Voice actor guests are Megumi Ogata (Komaeda, Naegi), Ami Koshimizu (Mioda), and Haruda Ishida (Iruma). The official website did not mention if the demo footage would be included in the stream, but it’s unlikely.
Danganronpa 2×2 will come out on the Switch and Switch 2 in 2026.
