It is possible to fast travel between regions in Pokemon Pokopia once you start opening Area Gates, though the game doesn’t do a great job of explaining how to teleport between different spots. This is tied to the housing system, and as long as you have even one Ditto flag placed at a home, you’re set. Especially since you can also use this as a quick way to bring Pokemon to new areas if you need their help in different spots.

How do I fast travel in Pokemon Pokopia?

This is all tied to the housing system, as I mentioned before. As you go through Challenges in Pokemon Pokopia, you’ll notice setting up a home for Ditto by placing a flag you can craft at any qualifying house is always a mission you need to complete. In the main menu, when you bring up the Pokedex, you’ll see there’s a small white house icon at the bottom left. This is how you fast travel.

Selecting that house will bring up a list of every location you’ve unlocked in the game. You can then select which one to immediately teleport to and be transported to your home at that spot. This can be done at any time.

As for bringing Pokemon with you when you fast travel in Pokemon Pokopia, that is as simple as asking them to follow you (either by pressing up on the D-pad or by talking to them and selecting that option) and then using the house option in the menu to teleport to another home. So long as that character isn’t involved in a questline tied to that area, which can happen with ones like Piplup or Chef Dente, they will go along with you and appear in the new location. You can use this to help bring extra creatures with abilities like Build or Recycle to different regions to assist with builds and it also comes up in the mainline quest once you reach Sparkling Skylands.

Pokemon Pokopia is available for the Switch 2.
