Square Enix confirmed the dates for the 2026 Hatching-tide spring event in FFXIV, and this year the major prizes to get are six pairs of Easter Eggy Eyeglasses facewear armor. All players who’ve passed level 15 will be able to take part in “Of Weeds and Whimsy” starting on March 23, 2026.
To kick off “Of Weeds and Whimsy,” you’ll need to meet up with Stylish Dreamer in Old Gridania. She’ll be at X:10.2, Y:9.4. By going through the questline, you can earn various Eggy Eyeglasses items. These can then be traded to get the new FFXIV Easter Eggy Eyeglasses facewear pieces of armor. There are six possible ones total, and here is the full list of items and the armor they unlock:
- The Faces We Wear – Blooming Eyeglasses unlocks the Pair Of Blooming Eyeglasses.
- The Faces We Wear – Chicken Eyeglasses unlocks the Pair Of Chicken Eyeglasses.
- The Faces We Wear – Painted Eggy Eyeglasses unlocks the Pair Of Painted Eggy Eyeglasses.
- The Faces We Wear – Party Eggy Eyeglasses unlocks the Pair of Party Eggy Eyeglasses.
- The Faces We Wear – Slim Frame Eggy Eyeglasses unlocks the Pair Of Slim Frame Eggy Eyeglasses.
- The Faces We Wear – Spriggan Eyeglasses unlocks the Pair Of Spriggan Eyeglasses.
A number of furnishings are also available to collect this year. The three tabletop items we can get are Archon Egg Basket, Filled Archon Egg Basket, Scattered Archon Eggs, and Tabletop Hatching-tide MMXXV (2025) Advertisement. The two kinds of wall-mounted decorations are Hatching-tide MMXVI (2016) Advertisement and Hatching-tide MMXXV (2025) Advertisement.

Hatching-tide is an annual affair in the MMORPG. It’s always the Easter and spring-themed FFXIV event. In 2025, people could earn an Archon Egg Parasol for taking part. The 2024 installment ended up being combined with Little Ladies’ Day and featured a Hatching-tide Peatie mount.
Final Fantasy XIV is available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the Hatching-tide event will start in FFXIV on March 23, 2026 and end on April 6, 2026.
