There’s an update on the release date for the English version of the Steins;Gate Re:Boot remake in North America, with people in the US and Canada seeing it on the Switch, Switch 2, and PS5 slightly later than other versions. The Xbox Series X and PC versions will be out on August 20, 2026, which is the same day the game appears on all platforms in Japan. However, the official site says the other three platforms won’t get the game until October 29, 2026. Standard and Steelbook physical editions will be available at retailers like Amazon.

The site didn’t explain why there’s the difference in release dates. However, it did go over what we’ll find in the standard and Steelbook versions. All physical copies include the game and a sticker of Rintaro Okabe with Mayuri Shiina and Kurisu Makise. That’s about four and a half inches tall and water-resistant. The Steelbook edition comes with a case that has Rintaro, Mayuri, Kurisu, Daru, Moeka, Luka, Faris, and Suzuha on it. The preliminary art for the Switch 2 version don’t mention a game-key card, so it’s possible the full game will be on the cartridge.

Here are the initial images for both of the editions of the game.

Steins;Gate Re:Boot will be on the Xbox Series X and PC on August 20, 2026 in North America, with the Switch, Switch 2, and PS5 versions following on October 29, 2026. It will be on all platforms in Japan on August 20, 2026.
