This is not the first time Zozotown has collaborated with Spike Chunsoft, as it had previously done so in mid-2023—albeit featuring multiple titles like Danganronpa V3 and AI: The Somnium Files. This batch is completely dedicated to Danganronpa 2, which has the Danganronpa 2×2 remake slated for release for Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC worldwide in 2026.

Zozotown will close the pre-order window for the Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair on July 10, 2026. It will ship the finished products around mid-November 2026.
