Netflix offered an update on The One Piece remake anime that involved a new teaser trailer for the take on the existing story and show. It spends over a minute looking at how this adaptation of the show will look. It also lets us see the various design decisions Wit Studio made.

This trailer begins by showing a teaser for Gol D. Roger’s execution, at which he suggested his legendary One Piece was out there for folks to find. This led to an influx of new pirates, as well as Monkey D. Luffy’s dream of becoming king of the pirates. We then see Shanks giving Luffy his iconic straw hat before setting off with his crew. From there, we see peeks at the crew. The trailer almost makes it seem like it will cover the same period of the story as the first season of the live-action adaptation.

You can watch that official teaser from Netflix below.

In addition to the new teaser for the Wit Studio new The One Piece anime remake, there are six official stills showing the first five members of the Straw Hats. This lets us see what Luffy, Nami, Roronoa Zoro, Usopp, Sanji, and Shanks will look like in this retelling.

Another anime adaptation announcement came up recently too. Earlier this week, Toei shared the ending theme for One Piece Heroines. It is called “Blue Shining Star.” That first episode will apparently focus on Nami, but will also feature other characters from the series like Nico Nico Robin.

The One Piece anime remake will begin airing on Netflix in February 2027. Viz Media handles the manga, while the original anime is streaming on places like Crunchyroll.
