The Before Crisis Final Fantasy VII story will end in FFVII Ever Crisis today. Square Enix announced the third and final chapter, called “Turks Encirclement,” will appear at 7pm PT/10pm ET on August 26, 2026. There is a brief trailer to hint at how things will wrap up as the Turks face off against Avalanche’s Fuhito.
As a reminder, this is an extremely truncated take on the Before Crisis Final Fantasy VII story in FFVII Ever Crisis. The original mobile game consisted of about 27 chapters, if you include a prologue and epilogues, and 12 new Turk characters including Cissnei and Verdot. (Of those, 11 of the newcomers were playable.) For this retelling, Square Enix squeezed everything into three chapters and focused only on Elena’s sister Aphromia (Gun) and Rodd (Rod).
This means the trailer shows that everything is wrapping up rather swiftly. Both Aphromia and Rodd are still shown as the only “new” members. We see how President Shinra takes actions against the group within the company and sends out an execution order for their leader Verdot. However, it seems Rufus Shinra has his own ideas about what should happen as Tseng, Reno, Rude, Aphromia, and Rodd begin to take action to stop Fuhito from causing worldwide damage and the president from murdering Verdot.
Here’s that full footage. Keep in mind that if you haven’t been following this storyline in-game, there will be a number of spoilers.
This is the last new story heading to Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis. The 13th chapter and end of the main FFVII story will appear in September 2026, as will a final new event.
Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is on PCs and mobile devices and its Before Crisis FFVII story ends on August 26, 2026. Service will end on October 6, 2026.
