Last month, Square Enix announced two new Chaos Rings games — Chaos Rings Omega and Chaos Rings 2 — and provided a reveal trailer for the former. Omega is now out on iTunes, and there’s a subtitled trailer to check out:
Chaos Rings Omega is set 10,000 years before the original game. The original began with the line: “A tale of love and loss 10,000 years in the making.” Omega follows the story of Vieg leading up to the original game.
The turned-based battle system in Omega lets you choose between solo moves, where you enter commands separately, or pair moves, to execute moves as a team. Defeating enemies lets you obtain and equip Genes that allow you to learn their magic and special attacks.
Chaos Rings Omega costs $11.99 on iPhone and $14.99 on the iPad. If you live in Japan, you’ll see the game released on the 20th, Japan time.
