Square Enix have licensed popular puzzle game, KooZac, and hired its creator, Ben Cusack, to head their expanding mobile division, the company announced today. A new version of KooZac is now slated for release on smartphone and tablet devices.

KooZac is described as being “somewhere in between Tetris and Sudoku”. You have to position numbered falling blocks on on top of the other in order to reach a target number.

The new smartphone version will come with three game modes and redone visuals. It’s slated for release in Q1 on iOS and Android phones and tablets.
