Tecmo Koei To Focus On More Collaborations With Other Developers

Tecmo Koei released their earnings report for the fiscal year ended March 31st, 2012 this week. The company reported a strong performance for the year with revenues of 35.5 billion yen ($443.8 million) and a profit of 4.6 billion yen ($57.5 million), up nearly 70% from the previous year.

 

Tecmo Koei also provided figures for one of their key titles—Ninja Gaiden 3, which has shipped 630,000 copies worldwide. Meanwhile Samurai Warriors 3: Empires, Warriors Orochi 3, and Winning Post 7 2011 all performed strongly in Japan. Tecmo also mention that sales of Dynasty Warriors Next for the Vita were strong in Asia.

 

Moving forward, Tecmo Koei’s plan is to collaborate with other developers. They mention Pokémon Conquest (Nintendo) and One Piece: Pirate Warriors (Namco Bandai) as existing examples of such collaborations.
