Play Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light For Free In Your Browser

Earlier in the year, Square Enix debuted a new online service, called Core Online, which lets you play some of Eidos’ major games in your browser for free. When I tried it at launch, I managed to play a stage of Hitman: Blood Money entirely in my browser, with an occasional ad click allowing me to continue playing.

This morning, Square Enix have added another game to the Core Online service—Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, a downloadable Tomb Raider spin-off title released in 2010. Also available on the service is Mini Ninjas, which was one of the launch Core Online games.

As mentioned earlier, Core Online is supported by ads. Occasionally, an ad will pop up, and clicking it will allow you to continue playing the game for free. If you’d like to disable ads completely, you can choose to pay to have ads removed.

In the future, Square Enix plan to add even more titles to the service. Tomb Raider: Underworld, Gyromancer and other games are currently being readied for Core Online. You can access the service here.
