This morning, indie games studio Pixelnauts announced Lost Orbit, a vertical-scrolling platformer that follows an astronaut named Harrison. Harrison is travelling through space in order to make it home after his ship is destroyed, and the gravitational forces of surrounding planets and bodies will challenge him along the way.

Lost Orbit will feature orbiting, boosting, elemental planets, black holes, gas planets and more in its repertoire of features. The game will have campaign, challenge and endless modes, with levels set across four solar systems.

Lost Orbit is scheduled for release on PC this Fall, with iOS and Android releases planned as well.
