Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Adds Second Playable Character With Own Campaign

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero has hit its first stretch goal at $500,000, WayForward Technologies have announced. The game will now include Shantae’s nemesis, Risky Boots, as a playable character.

Risky Boots will star in her own campaign, which WayForward say “spans the entire game”. Just how many stages this means isn’t clear yet. (The main game starring Shantae will feature an opening stage with a boss, three chapters, and a conclusion.)

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is in development for PC, Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
