Super Smash Bros. Screenshots Show Off Smash Ball, Peanut Gun And More

Last week’s batch of Super Smash Bros. screenshots brought images of the Smash Ball, Rosalina and Diddy Kong’s Peanut Popgun. As always, each one was accompanied by a comment on Miiverse from director Masahiro Sakurai.

Regarding, Final Smashes, Sakurai stated: “Come to think of it, I haven’t introduced any of the Final Smashes yet… Then again, if I introduced every single one, it’d take over a month’s worth of posts.”

The theory is that this means there are at least 30 characters in the game, depending on how deeply you want to read into Sakurai’s statement. This theory is entirely unconfirmed as of now, obviously.

On the Popgun, Sakurai commented: “The Peanut Popgun now deals a powerful attack when it explodes. It’ll be difficult to hit your target, but when you succeed, the explosion will really blow your enemies away. Give it a shot when you break someone’s shield.”
