Mortal Kombat X is in development, Warner Bros. announced this morning. The game is slated for release in 2015, and you can view a trailer for the new title below.

Hmmm… is it just me or does that fight look oddly reminiscent of Street Fighter? Sub-Zero’s freeze move animation looks very much like a Hadouken, while Scorpion appears to have picked up Guile’s Flash Kick.
Update: Mortal Kombat X will be released for PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 according to the game’s official website.
