Super Smash Bros. Gets A New Boomerang Item

Recommended Videos

Super Smash Bros. has a new item—the Boomerang. Here’s how director Masahiro Sakurai described the item in a post on Miiverse last night:

Here’s a new item that we’ve thrown in—the boomerang. As you’d guess, it’ll fly back into your hands after you throw it, and if you keep catching it, its attack power grows with each throw! However, opponents can nab the boomerang out of the air, so it might be an easier item to use in Smash Run.

Super Smash Bros. will be available on Nintendo 3DS this Summer and on Wii U sometime in Winter. At E3, Nintendo will hold a presentation for the press, followed by a Q&A, focusing on the game.
