Studio Trigger have shared a teaser trailer for their upcoming Ninja Slayer anime. The teaser was originally shown at Anime Expo late last week. As previously reported, the anime is being directed by Akira Amemiya, one of the directors of Kill la Kill.
Here’s a story summary the anime, titled Ninja Slayer From Animation:
Kenji Fujikido is a salarymanwhose wife and child were killed in a ninja turf war. In a brush with his own death, Fujikido is possessed by an enigmatic ninja soul known as Naraku Ninja. Fujikido cheats death and becomes “Ninja Slayer”—a Grim Reaper destined to kill evil ninja, committed to a personal war of vengeance. Set in the dystopian underworld of Neo-Saitama, Ninja Slayer takes on Soukai Syndicate ninja in mortal combat.
Ninja Slayer From Animation will be released in 2015. Meanwhile, the first two Ninja Slayer novels are being released online and can be read here.
