Super Smash Bros. for Wii U Will Support These Controllers

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will allow for a number of controller options., Nintendo said today. The publisher has provided a full list of the game’s controller options on its official website. The following controllers will be compatible with Smash Wii U:

 

  • Wii U GamePad
  • Wii Remote or Wii Remote Plus (held sideways)
  • Wii Remote Plus + Nunchuk
  • Classic Controller or Classic Controller Pro (connected to Wii Remote Plus)
  • Wii U Pro Controller
  • Nintendo Gamecube Controller (using an adapter)
  • Nintendo 3DS system (requires a copy of the 3DS game for each 3DS)

 

As reported earlier this afternoon, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will allow for up to 8 players in local multiplayer, so the wide range of controller compatibility is important.
