You’ll Get To Try One Of The Futuristic Racers Inspired By Wipeout This December

Remember Radial-G? This is one of the many futuristic racing games inspired by Wipeout and/or F-Zero that are currently in development. Radial-G, unlike some of the others, is going to be available for players to try out soon—it’s coming to Steam Early Access.

Developed by a U.K. studio named Tammeka, Radial-G received a playable demo earlier in the year (which is still available here). If you can wait a little longer, though, the Early Access release of the game will include the following features:

  • Offline and single-player modes
  • 16-player online multiplayer
  • Three race crafts to choose from
  • A new space environment set in a derelict asteroid mining station
  • Three additional courses
  • “Enhanced ship physics”

The final version of the game will feature online multiplayer for up to 32 players, but 16 players is no mean feat either. You’ll be able to give Radial-G a go on December 11th via Steam Early Access. And yet, Tammeka still plan to support the Oculus Rift.
