Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate has been released in North America and Europe, and Capcom have updated the game with a free ver. 1.1 patch that adds a few items to aid beginners in their hunting quests. The 1.1 patch can be downloaded via the Nintendo eShop, and will give you the following items:

  • Mega Potion              x50
  • Honey                        x30
  • Mega Dash Juice        x15
  • Well-done Steak         x30
  • Max Potion                 x10
  • Lifepowder                 x20
  • Ancient Potion             x5
  • Flash Bomb                  x30
  • Sonic Bomb                 x30
  • Pitfall Trap                  x15
  • Shock Trap                  x15
  • Super Mushroom          x6

The “Super Mushroom” item lets you craft the Mario or Luigi outfits for your Palico and the matching Invincible Hammer weapon after you’ve completed the first two “Capital C” challenges given to you by the Caravaneer.

Note that you will only be able to craft either the Mario or the Luigi Palico outfit using the six Super Mushrooms. Sometime in the future, Capcom will release the Congalala free DLC quest, which is how one would normally create those outfits, so you’ll be able to craft the other one then.

You can find more details on how to craft the Mario/Luigi gear on Capcom Unity.
