Axiom Verge, Thomas Happ’s Metroid-inspired side-scroller for PlayStation 4, will be released on March 31st. Happ announced the game’s release date on the PlayStation Blog, and detailed a few of the powerups you’ll come across as well.

Meanwhile, the PlayStation Vita port of the game is still in development. Happ says there are some tools required to complete the Vita port that he’s still waiting on. The good news is, the game is confirmed to be a Cross-Buy title, so buying it on PS4 means you’ll get it for free on Vita.

Axiom Verge will cost $19.99 and will be available in North America on March 31st. Europe will get the game a day later for €17.99. A PC release date has not yet been announced. You can read Siliconera’s impressions of the game here.
