Ace Combat Lands On iPhone

Recommended Videos

Project Aces’ Ace Combat spin-off for the iPhone and iPod touch is out today on the app store. As you’d expect, in Ace Combat Xi (not XI), you maneuver your aircrafts with the iPhone’s tilt-controls. It appears that the environments in the game were designed based on real satellite images provided to Namco by the Japan Space Imaging Corporation.

Although they have haven’t provided any details yet, Namco have already confirmed that they’ll be following up the initial release with DLC. You can watch a trailer here and a hands-on preview here. The game costs $.4.99 in North America and €3.99 in Europe.

Thanks to Chris Taran and Galiane for confirming the U.S. and European prices respectively!
