Pokémon GO Made An Estimate Of Over $950 Million In Revenue For 2016

It’s no secret that Pokémon GO became a huge hit during the summer of last year when it made its debut on smartphones. Now, thanks to a report by App Annie, we know just how much the mobile game made in the six months since its release. [Thanks, Venture Beat.]

 

According to App Annie, Pokémon GO generated approximately $950 million in revenues during 2016. Niantic’s Archit Bhargava also reported that players have walked a collective 8.7 billion kilometers while playing the game. Additionally, in a previous report from App Annie, they confirmed that Pokémon GO had hit $600 million in less than 90 days, faster than any other game.
