Pokémon GO Global Catch Challenge Begins

In Pokémon GO, there are certain Pokémon only available in specific regions. Tauros is only available in North America, as an example. But at the moment, a special event is taking place to give people who do not often travel a chance to get two of these special creatures. The Pokémon GO Global Catch Challenge will release Farfetch’d and Kangaskhan everywhere if a certain number of Pokémon are caught by November 26, 2017.

The first Pokémon GO Global Catch Challenge plateau is 500 million catches. This will cause a 2x XP boost, make lures last six hours, and will cause more Pokémon to spawn. 1.5 billion catches will add those two bonuses, as well as double Stardust. Finally, if three billion are caught, then the East Asia-exclusive Farfetch’d will appear in every region and the Australia-exclusive Kangaskhan will appear in East Asia for 48-hours.

Pokémon GO is available for Android and Apple iOS devices.
