Shigenori Nishikawa, director of MadWorld, is to leave his post at PlatinumGames in the near future, to take up a position at Resident Evil 4 director Shinji Mikami’s Tango studio. The report comes via GamesIndustry.biz, with a Twitter post from Bayonetta director Hideki Kamiya (and a subsequent PlatinumGames website update) as its source.

Prior to directing MadWorld, Nishikawa was involved with the Gamecube remake of Resident Evil and also with Resident Evil 4. Mikami is presently collaborating with PlatinumGames on Vanquish — a third-person shooter to be published by SEGA — and with Grasshopper Manufacture founder Goichi Suda on a survival horror game funded by Electronic Arts.
