How Did Bayonetta And These Other Sega Games Do?

Earlier in the year, we reported that PlatinumGames’ Bayonetta had broken the one million mark in terms of sales as of January 31st, 2010. SEGA recently provided an update on that number, and it now amounts to 1.35 million units worldwide as of March 31st.

 

Those wanting an updated Yakuza 4 number are in luck, too. That game has sold 560,000 units (Japan only) since its release. Meanwhile, Sonic & Sega All-Star Racing has broken a million across all platforms combined since its late February release.

 

The more interesting number, however, pertains to Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, which rose from 5.67 million to 6.53 million between January and March on Wii and DS combined. Not surprising given the nature of the game and its mascots, but it does provide one with some perspective on which product likely contributed most to SEGA’s bottom line, all things considered.
