I didn’t want to end today’s manga updates on a negative note. Nor did I particularly want to put myself through two entire episodes of Kaichou wa Maid-sama for impressions (that counts as negative, right?). So instead, here’s something fun and light-hearted for a change.
Over at the Schulz Library blog, student Betsey Swardlick has chronicled her experiences with Japanese doujinshi during her stay in Japan in an immensely entertaining blog post-cum-essay, complete with crazy doodles Japanese hobos and fangirls. It’s cute, funny and informative, and I guarantee at least one surprise (or facepalm, depending on your gender). And best of all, I didn’t have to do any of the work myself!
