Director Tetsuya Nomura shared some details for the ongoing development of Kingdom Hearts III in an interview with Dengeki PlayStation about online features they’re considering, and more. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089.]

Here are some highlights:

  • Several plans are currently under consideration for Kingdom Hearts III’s online elements.

  • Nomura reiterated that there’s a chance there might not be enough space to fit everything with the great volume of content that is being made for Kingdom Hearts III. More on that in our previous report.

  • Nomura says he wants to put in online elements, but asks fans to keep their consoles connected online while waiting for the time being.

  • The director says he currently doesn’t have any leeway to take measures for a Kingdom Hearts III demo.

  • Everyone’s stories will wrap up in Kingdom Hearts III. This was one of the propositions for the game.

  • In order to get the ideal hue for the limited edition Kingdom Hearts III PS4 Pro, they had it remade countless times. Nomura says you’ll get a better idea when you see it for yourself, but its kind of like leather.

Kingdom Hearts III releases in Japan and Asia on January 25, 2019 and in North America and Europe in January 29, 2019 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Check here for more from Nomura who said there won’t be a Final Mix version or Season Pass, here for a look at the limited time event at Shinjuku Station, and here to learn how Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi had a hand in the series’ complicated story.
