Mortal Kombat 11 Cetrion Introduction Showcases The New Elder God

A new Mortal Kombat 11 combatant has been revealed. Joining Geras as a new playable character is Cetrion. She is an Elder God who will be taking part in this installment’s tournament. (Thanks, Game Informer!)

Here’s the Game Informer tweet revealing Cetrion. It also shows a brief clip taken from her initial gameplay video.

Cetrion is a goddess connected to Earth. In her introductory match against Jade, we see grass and plants growing wherever she steps. Some of her attacks involve her summoning fire or rocks from the ground. We also see her using water and ice as projectiles and having her plants rise up from the ground to pull an opponent down.

In addition to the video of the initial footage in the story above, Cetrion appears briefly at the 16 second mark in this trailer.

Other character appearing in Mortal Kombat 11 include Baraka, Geras, Kano, Kronika, Raiden, Scorpion, Skarlet, Sonya Blade, Sub-Zero, D’Vorah, Kabal, Jade, Johnny Cage, Cassie Cage, Kotal Kahn, Noob Saibot. Jax, Kung Lao, and Liu Kang.

Mortal Kombat 11 will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on April 23, 2019. It will appear at EVO 2019.
