A new Pokemon Sword and Shield video has been released, and it is packed with new information. After showing a Gigantamaxing battle in a gym, it goes on to introduce some of the new Pokemon and Gym Leaders people will meet in the game. Four new Pokemon were revealed, while we also got a look at the two trainers introduced.

The new Pokemon introduced in the Pokemon Sword and Shield trailer are Alacremie, Yamper, Rolycoly, and Duraludon. Alacremie is a fairy type with the Sweet Veil ability that keeps it and its allies from falling asleep. Yamper is an electric type with the Ball Fetch that lets it collect the first Poke Ball from a failed throw during a battle. Rolycoly is a rock type that has the Steam Engine or Heatproof ability. (Heatproof halves ffire and burn damage.) Duraludon is a dragon and steel type that could have the Heavy Metal or Light Metal ability. Heavy Metal doubles its weight, while Light Metal halves it. It was also confirmed that Deino and Jangmo-o are exclusive to Sword, while Goomy and Larvitar are only in Shield.

The two new Pokemon Sword and Shield Gym Leaders are interesting, as each one is exclusive to one version. Allister, who uses ghost type characters, is only in Pokemon Shield. Bea, who is a fighting type expert, is only in Pokemon Sword.

When Gigantamaxing a Pokemon, it grows in size and can look different. For example, the trailer shows an Alacremie in this form becomes the topper on a gigantic cake.

Here is the new Pokemon Sword and Shield video.
