Persona 5 Royal Spanish, Italian, German, and French Subtitle Options Announced

Persona 5 Royal is going to be more accessible than the original installment. That’s because this time around, there will be five subtitle language options outside of Japan. In addition to English, it will also be playable in French, German, Italian, and Spanish.

The new localizations were just announced by Atlus. This is the first time a Persona game will be available in so many languages. Back in September 2019, it was confirmed that Persona 5 Royal would be playable with Korean or Traditional Chinese subtitles with the Asia release.

This reveal might help explain the time between release dates. The Japanese version appeared in Japan on October 31, 2019. The Asian release is February 20, 2020 and is confirmed to have English subtitles. The western launch was only just confirmed on December 3, 2019 and given a March 31, 2020 release date. Additional localizations would account for the additional time needed.

Persona 5 Royal is immediately available on the PlayStation 4 in Japan. It will show up in Asia on February 20, 2020. It will appear on the PlayStation 4 in the west on March 31, 2020.
