Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories is a game with quite a history. It was originally announced back in 2010 for the PlayStation 3, complete with PlayStation Move controller compatibility. After multiple delays, it was canceled after the 2011 Tohoku earthquake in Japan. (In the game, frequent earthquakes devastate the region.)

However, Granzella ended up acquiring the Disaster Report IP in 2014, with the game being announced again in November 2015. It ended up coming to the PlayStation 4 in Japan in November 2018. A Nintendo Switch port was released in the region in September 2019.

In Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories, you play as a character who has gotten caught up in the middle of earthquakes that have hit Japan. It is up to you to survive, while also interacting with people around you in the same predicament. You can assist them by doing things like helping them escape dangerous areas or providing supplies.

Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC worldwide on April 7, 2020. It is immediately available on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in Japan.
