For two months, it could be a little easier waiting for your plane. Nintendo Switch airport lounges will be opening in some select airports briefly in the United States. Each of these spaces will provide an opportunity to play the Nintendo Switch and relax. The catch is, they’ll only be available in a handful of airports for a limited amount of time in February and March 2020.
There will be four U.S. Nintendo Switch airport lounges. Here’s the full list of where they are and how long they will be available.
- Chicago, Illinois’ O’Hare International Airport will have one in Terminal A’s Concourse B, between Gates B12 and B14, between February 17-March 29, 2020.
- Dallas, Texas’ Dallas Love Field will have one in the West Terminal near Gates 14 and 16 between February 13-March 26, 2020.
- Seattle, Washington’s Seattle – Tacoma International Airport will have one in Concourse C next to Gate C10 between February 17-March 29, 2020.
- Washington, D.C.’s Dulles International Airport will have one one in Concourse B next to Gate B62 between February 17-March 29, 2020.
Each Nintendo Switch airport lounge will have multiple demo units set up with games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Odyssey, Super Mario Party, and Tetris 99 set up. Nintendo luggage handle wraps will be given away with Target $10 off a Nintendo $75 purchase while supplies last. People will also be able to order a Nintendo Switch system directly from Nintendo and get a free carrying case.
This isn’t the first time Nintendo has done such a thing. In June 2019, the company had a Nintendo Check In at Narita Airport, near Terminal 1’s Visitor Service Center. It also had Nintendo Switch games available to play.
