The Mario Kart Tour Jungle Tour characters have been revealed, and we’re finally getting new racers who aren’t palette-swap or low-effort alts. Both Dixie Kong and Funky Kong are headed to the races. If luck is on your side, there’s a chance you could pull one of these characters when you head to the pipes with your Rubies.
As you may expect from the members of the Kong crew, both characters have banana-based special items. For Funky Kong, it’s the Banana Barrels that temporarily shoot off bananas automatically. (Just like Diddy Kong!) With Dixie Kong, you get the Triple Bananas. This drops three bananas on the track, as you’d imagine.
A trailer was released to go along with the Mario Kart Tour Jungle Tour, as usual. It shows what these versions of Dixie Kong and Funky Kong look like. We also get an idea of which tracks will be showcased during the run and which new karts that will be added.
Mario Kart Tour is available for Android and Apple iOS devices. In case you missed the news, multiplayer is available for everyone, and both Room Codes and Team Races have been added. The Mario Kart Tour Jungle Tour will run until June 2, 2020.
