Man, Q3 comes quicker every year. While initially miHoYo said that the final Genshin Impact closed beta would be launching in that window, it’ll actually appear much sooner. In July 2020, PlayStation 4, PC, and mobile device owners who have registered for it will have a chance to go through one last closed test.

As mentioned before, this final Genshin Impact closed beta will be looking at a very important feature. The full game will have cross-play on all platforms. So during this test, people on PlayStation 4s might find themselves fighting alongside someone on a PC or Android device, for example. They’ll also be able to share details about the experience, if they’d like, as there won’t be any confidentiality agreement tied to participation.
This will mark 2020’s second Genshin Impact closed beta. The first was held earlier in the year and was followed by a statement confirming post-launch support would be offered to add new content and experiences for players.
The full Genshin Impact launch is expected to occur in 2020 and bring the game to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PC, and both Android and Apple iOS devices. It will be a completely free-to-play game once it launches and, while not everyone who registers will be chosen, those who sign up for the beta can sample it for free.
