Idea Factory International announced that Compile Heart’s horror-inspired RPG, Death end re;Quest 2, will release physically and digitally for PlayStation 4 and on PC via Steam this summer.
The game previously had an unspecified 2020 release window for the West. Furthermore, the PC version on Steam will include the original Death end re;Quest Glitch costumes which appear during battle. Furthermore, the Steam version will include English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese subtitles. A Steam store page for Death end re;Quest 2 will go live sometime in the near future.
Death end reQuest 2 follows Mai Toyama, who seeks an escape from her traumatic past. She enrolls in an all-girl’s dormitory in the small mountain town of Le Choara where it was rumored that her missing sister Sanae was last seen. Mai soon discovers that terrifying inhabitants lurk throughout the town at night. Le Choara’s streets are invaded by menacing monsters called “Shadow Matter” during the dark. Mai discovers that her hope of finding Sanae lies somewhere in the secrets of Le Choara.
Death end reQuest 2 will release in North America and Europe for the PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam in Summer 2020. The game is currently available in Japan for the PS4. Check out the game’s opening movie and latest details in our previous report.
