Dragon Quest Tact Will Release in Japan on July 16, 2020

After getting a Summer 2020 release window last month

, the upcoming mobile strategy RPG Dragon Quest Tact got a July 16, 2020 release date in Japan. Dragon Quest Tact is a strategy RPG where you lead monsters into battles across grid-based maps. The game itself is simple enough for anyone to pick up but it also offers plenty of strategic depth for fans of the genre. In battle, you’ll take your party of monsters up against enemy monsters. There’s also a chance to befriend monsters after these battles. As for the gameplay, there are elements such as monster mobility and ability range that play key factors in combat. It also offers an Auto function to help play with ease.

In Dragon Quest Tact, Monsters level up through the experience points acquired in combat. Furthermore, you can continue to uncap monster levels by collecting the necessary materials needed to “Rank Up.” The game offers various ways to strengthen monsters, including ability upgrades, equipment, and more. Lastly, there’s a Battle Road feature that allows you to make your own party using designated monsters. Since the Battle Road costs 0 stamina, you can do it as often as you’d like. This mode also comes with original stories for the monsters that you won’t see in the main story of Dragon Quest Tact. Dragon Quest Tact will release for iOS and Android in Japan on July 16, 2020.
