Microsoft has announced that the Xbox Series X will release in Japan sometime in November 2020. Japanese publication Famitsu notes that the release of the Xbox One in Japan was ten months behind the world wide launch of that particular console, with the Japanese release of the One being on September 4, 2014. The Xbox One had released in other countries on November 22, 2013. This time, Japan will receive the same window of release for the Xbox Series X as other regions. [Thanks, Famitsu!]
It has already been confirmed that the Xbox Series X will release in November 2020 for other regions. Following the announcement that Halo Infinite would be delayed, Microsoft confirmed that the Series X would be seeing a Fall 2020 release. Additionally, Microsoft stated that there are “more than fifty games planned for this year,” which is a fairly sizable line up for a console that will be releasing at the tail end of the year.
One of the titles that will be available for the Xbox Series X are Yakuza: Like a Dragon, which has also been confirmed for a November 2020 release. Other titles include Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, Watch Dogs Legion, and Gears Tactics.
The Xbox Series X release date is scheduled for November 2020. It will be compatible with all Xbox One controllers.
