Another one of Capcom’s books looking at a game’s concept art and design process is being localized. Udon Entertainment will release How to Make Capcom Fighting Characters: Street Fighter Character Design in English on October 20, 2020. The hardcover book will cost $49.99.
While the title makes a reference to general Capcom fighting characters, How to Make Capcom Fighting Characters’ main focus is on Final Fight, Street Fighter, and Street Fighter V. Characters we have known for years, like Ryu, Juri, Menat, and Zangief have detailed pages looking at the creative process that led to them, concept art, and their designs. There are also pages looking at unused characters that never made it into the game.
For example, one sample page looks at the Four Monkeys Series of characters that never ended up appearing. This would have been a group of four characters named See No Evil, Speak No Evil 1, Speak No Evil 2, and a “combat Vocaloid” named Hear No Evil.

How to Make Capcom Fighting Characters: Street Fighter Character Design will be released outside Japan on October 20, 2020, and pre-orders are open at Amazon. It has been available in Japan since November 2018. In other Udon Street Fighter news, its 2020 Swimsuit Special is available.
