We’re still waiting to see gameplay for the upcoming smartphone MMORPG Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds, but for now, we have a new animated teaser trailer that gives us a look into its real and virtual worlds.

In Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds, you’ll participate in a beta test for a virtual reality game called Soul Divers. While progressing through the virtual reality game, you begin to notice that you’ve actually been in the real world this whole time. After encounting a mysterious girl named Lania, you learn your mission. To carry out this mission, you’ll encounter fearsome foes and the task of rebuilding a fallen kingdom. Will you be able to save the two connected worlds from danger?
As for gameplay, you’ll get to pick out of five different player classes. We get to see their real-life appearances in the opening seconds of the teaser trailer, but in the virtual reality game, Soul Divers, they’ll appear as the Swordsman, Witch, Destroyer, Rogue, and Engineer.
