Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai Hulu and Crunchyroll Debut Set

It will be a lot easier for people outside of Japan to watch one Dragon Quest anime adaptation. Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai is headed to both Hulu and Crunchyroll, with the service its on varying depending on a person’s region. Toei Animation took to Twitter to confirm it will be available “this weekend,” presumably with streaming beginning on October 3, 2020.

This Dragon Quest anime follows a young man named, as you might guess, Dai. He wants to bring peace to the world, which leads him to train with his mentor, Avan, and eventually head out on his own quest. As you might expect, the young man ends up on a “save the world” sort of adventure.

Here’s a list going over where people will be able to watch the show, starting this weekend.

  • Anime Digital Network: France
  • Crunchyroll: Africa, Australia, Europe, the Middle East, North America, Latin America, and New Zealand
  • Hulu: United States

If Dai looks familiar, it’s because he’s actually made a worldwide game debut recently. The character is a part of the Jump Force roster. He even uses the Avan Strash attacks his mentor taught him, Dragonic Aura Release, and Giga Strash.

This could also help prepare people for new games. Multiple titles are development following the character’s story. Square Enix hasn’t revealed if they will be released worldwide. But we may have a chance of seeing the console game Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai – Infinity Strash or mobile game Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai – Spirit of Bonds.

The Dragon Quest: The Adventures of Dai anime will debut on Anime Digital Network, Crunchyroll, and Hulu outside Japan this weekend.
