Tomoko Hiroki, the producer of Arc System Works’ Dragon Ball FighterZ, has revealed that an announcement about the game’s third Dragon Ball FighterZ pass is right around the corner. While some of the DLC pass has already been released, including the characters Master Roshi and Kefla, remaining additions to the fighting game’s roster remain a mystery.
Hiroki’s confirmation about the upcoming news occurred during her appearance on the Dragon Ball FighterZ show, which is hosted on the game’s twitch channel. The announcement will coincide with Japan’s Dragon Ball FighterZ National Champion playoffs. “We know everyone is waiting for more information about the FighterZ Pass 3 remaining characters. We’ll make an announcement during Japan’s playoffs that will be held on December 20th,” stated Hiroki. She went on to say that the team is planning a release in the new year around January. This statement followed a segment where she spoke about how characters are chosen for the game.
The FighterZ Pass 3 launched earlier this year on February 28, 2020 with the release of Kefla. Arc System Works also made changes to Dragon Ball Fighter Z’s battle system. The second FighterZ pass character, Ultra Instinct Goku, followed soon after with a May 22, 2020 release. At this point, there only two unannounced characters remaining.
