The next Genshin Impact five-star, Xiao, is a familiar face. When people go through the first chapter of its Archon Quests, they meet him at the Wangshu Inn. However, that only offers a hint of who he is. miHoYo’s new Genshin Impact Xiao story trailer offers more insight into his backstory.
Xiao is actually one of five Yakshas summoned by the Archon Rex Lapis to protect Liyue. Of them, he’s referred to as the Vigilant Yaksha. However, time and constant fights against demons wore down the fighters. And so, only one remains: Alatus.
Though, if someone hasn’t played through the first chapter if Genshin Impact, take care. There are no severe spoilers in the Genshin Impact Xiao story trailer “Yakshas: The Guardian Adepti.” However, the narrator and some imagery might offer hints about one of the region’s spoilers.

We’ve heard quite a bit about Xiao as of late. He appeared in the 1.3 update teaser trailer. Which is fitting, since the Lantern Rite event will involve a Xiao market and an easier way to see his story quest.
Genshin Impact is available for the PlayStation 4, PC, and mobile devices. A Nintendo Switch version is in development. The Genshin Impact Xiao banner will begin on February 3, 2021.
