Ninja Theory’s Bleeding Edge Updates Are Ending

Support for Ninja Theory’s Bleeding Edge is over. The developer took to the game’s Twitter account to announce it won’t make anything new for the 4v4 online multiplayer game. This comes before the game’s first anniversary, as it debuted on March 24, 2020. Ninja Theory noted the goal now is for the company to focus on its other games in the works, like Xbox Series X and PC game Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 and Project: Mara.

While updates did appear to add things like new characters and maps, they were relatively infrequent. The Landslide map was added at launch. For example, Mekko the dolphin joined the roster in April 2020. A Hydrocore map showed up in May 2020. The last major update involved the the character Azrael, who debuted in July 2020.

Bleeding Edge is available for the Xbox One and PC. While there will be no new updates, people will still be able to play the game.
