Terraria Stadia Canceled Over Disabled Accounts

People hoping to play Terraria on Stadia won’t have that option. The 2D action game where you can build to your heart’s content, craft items, and fight various enemies won’t appear on the service. This comes after the Google account belonging to Andrew Spinks, the game’s designer and programmer, ended up disabled for “over three weeks.”

Spinks took to Twitter to explain what was going on. The developer lost access to everything that would use a Google account. Specifically, Spinks mentioned losing Google Play access (and income from it) and a 15-year-old Gmail address.

Here’s a portion of Spinks’ statement.

Spinks mention of the cancelation is the first remark about Terraria on the service. It never showed up during any Stadia announcements or presentations.

Terraria is available on the Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Wii U, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices. There will be no Terraria Stadia version.
